Mobility as a Service – Integrated Personal Mobility and Urban Transport in Central Europe
about
Květoslav Havlík is a Deputy Director and Head of the Marketing and Development Department of KORDIS JMK, Public Transport Coordinator in Brno and the South Moravian Region, Czech Republic. He studied regional development and administration at Masaryk University, Brno. After graduating, he worked as a project manager in the field of public transport for the international marketing research company TNS in Prague for a couple of years. From 2002, he has been working for KORDIS JMK. Therefore, he has experience with many aspects of establishing integrated public transport on the green field under Central European conditions.
His areas of interest include public transport research, new technologies in public transport, ticketing and tariffs, promotion of public transport, crossborder cooperation, and the implementation of international and local EU-funded projects. For his company, he managed several crossborder and multinational projects such as the BENEFIT (IEE Programme), RAILHUC, EDITS (both Interreg Central Europe Programme). At the moment, he is responsible for another four EU funded projects, where SOLEZ (Interreg Central Europe Programme) is the most developed. He was directly responsible for the implementation of several ERDF co-funded regional projects. The most important one was the establishment of the regional multimodal real-time control centre for all types of public transport in Brno and South Moravian Region including development of new software and hardware for on-board GPS/GNSS communication unit and passenger information systems. This solution serves as the best practice case for other integrated public transport systems in the Czech Republic. The bank-card ticketing system is another important project he participated in. It is already installed in Brno and shall be expanded to the rest of the region soon.
