Mobility as a Service – Integrated Personal Mobility and Urban Transport in Central Europe
about
Vitézy Dávid is an expert on public transportation and urban mobility. He started his career as a transport activist, advocating for better public transportation in Budapest. He became the founding CEO of the Budapest transport authority, BKK, in 2010 and reformed the governance of the Budapest transport system, establishing an integrated transport authority similar to Transport for London. Under his leadership, the capital’s new transport strategy was created; several major public transport projects were completed successfully, from new tramway connections to a new bike sharing system and from intelligent passenger information solutions to a new bus operation framework resulting in hundreds of new vehicles. Since 2016, he has, as director general, been responsible for the reconstruction of the Hungarian Transport Museum, including the design and implementation of a new permanent exhibition. He works as a transport expert and consultant domestically as well as internationally.
