Social Benefits of Mobility Development – How Can We Reduce Transport Poverty in CEE?
about
Beth Garner is the lead for future mobility design at Viaqqio, part of the ESP Group in the UK. She has extensive knowledge of the transport sector and a keen interest in re-imagining transport services to better meet the needs of real users. Developing concepts around Mobility as a Service, and drawing on ESP’s wide technical expertise to deliver them, has become a core focus for Beth’s work. Beth delivered the successful consortium bid which has led to the development of ‘NaviGoGo,’ a new mobility service for 16 to 25 year olds being trialled in Dundee and Fife. She is now leading ‘Project Onwards,’ which is working with people with dementia to design a service to ensure people can travel well once they are unable to drive. Additionally, she is part of a team to deliver ‘iCMiiST,’ a project which is advancing the use of creative methods to design and implement sustainable transport initiatives in East African cities.
