about
Levente Varga is the founder and CEO of SaveSarah, a Budapest-based start-up that helps to find people with drones and mobile devices.
After finishing his MSc in information technology and British and American Studies, Levente started his career in the Netherlands. He spent five years working in industry automation projects in the United States, Finland, China, Belgium, and the Netherlands in different roles from senior development of automation and robotics software products to technical writing of Inther Academy and liaising with customers.
After 5 years, Levente returned to Hungary to work for the United Nations as a Senior Learning Solutions Assistant at UNHCR, where he was responsible for organising a broad range of IT trainings globally for staff members and for the product management of the organisation's mobile learning solutions as well.
Levente took a turn to entrepreneurial life 3 years later and founded his software development company. Together with his brother, Peter, he developed Gamoteca, a gamified mobile learning platform (Angular, Ionic, NodeJS), which is still used by ILO, Humanitarian Academy, and other international organisations.
In 2016, he started working full time on the start-up, SaveSarah (previously known as DroneIQ), which programmes drones for life saving. The development of the platform began within the Startup Chile programme and since 2017 it has continued in Hungary.
