about
NaviGoGo is Scotland’s first Mobility as a Service (MaaS) pilot and has been co-designed by young people, for young people as part of an Innovate UK funded project. A 6-month trial is currently ongoing with 100 young people in Dundee and North East Fife in Scotland. During the trial from October 2017 to March 2018, the trial participants are able to access streamlined and personalised information, payment and fulfilment for trains, taxis, bike schemes, buses, car clubs and walking – all in one single hub. This is to increase safety, simplify timetables, and join up different modes of transport. The key features of NaviGoGo are:
- A personalised journey planner with fare calculator responsive to a user’s profile and entitlements
- A journey payment and fulfilment platform
- A ‘Deal Matcher’ for intelligently matching individuals to applicable deals and discounts
- A taxi splitter tool to ease the pain of calculating the cost of a taxi journey with friends
- A ‘Discover a Destination’ database containing local transport information and a forum for user’s comments and feedback on transport options
- And incentive points for positive/sustainable travel choices through Young Scot rewards
